FINANCE OFFICER - PROGRAM

This position facilitates all financial and accounting aspects, providing support to regional offices and other units to ensure and maintain accountability within Country Program Office and Project Holders. This position will work directly with the Finance manager and will interact with other units as well as with HQ and other Country Program Offices to promote the consistent application of financial systems and procedures and will be based in Alabang Office.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting or other related field; plus three (3) years of office experience is required. Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements. Preferably CPA.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Rich knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Ability to prepare, manage and monitor budgets and financial
  • Proficient in English, both spoken and written
  • Basic understanding and sensitivity to issues associated with poverty, hunger and the environment
  • Excellent organizational skills including strong attention to detail
  • Ability to produce accurate documents in a well designed and attractive format
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively, both domestically and internationally
  • Excellent leadership qualities and communication skills
  • Ability to cooperate effectively and harmoniously with project partners and like-minded organizations
  • Computer proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, electronic mail and internet; adept in using accounting software preferably ACCPACC.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of honesty and integrity
  • Ability to foster and maintain a spirit of unity, teamwork and cooperation
  • Sensitivity in working with multiple cultures and beliefs, and to gender equity
