North Luzon NGO Partners

International Association for Transformation, Inc (IAT)
IAT is an NGO working for the development of communities in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR). It was established on February 15, 1978 and was registered at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in 1981.

Heifer Philippines is working in partnership with IAT for the project Genuine Inter-tribal Facility in Transformation for Peaceful Co-existence, Entrepreneurial Empowerment, Attitudinal Change, Continuing Education and Environment Enhancement (GIFT for PEACE).  

Tabuk Lumin-awa-an Center (TLC)
The TLC is a special program of the Social Action Commission of the Apostolic Vicariate of Tabuk. It was established in 2003 initially to implement an international child sponsorship program supported by ChildFund Japan. Since then TLC gradually  expanded its services to the poor and marginalized families in Tabuk.

TLC is Heifer Philippines' partner NGO for the Revitalizing the Environment through Indigenous Vantage Enterprises (REInVEnt) project.

Episcopal Diocese of Northern Philippines (EDNP)
The EDNP is one of the six dioceses of the Episcopal Church in the Philippines. It has its main office in Bontoc and covers the Mountain Province, parts of the provinces of Kalinga, Abra, and Ilocos Sur.  It was accredited as an NGO by the Provincial Council of Mountain Province in 1992.

Heifer Philippines is working in partnership with EDNP for the project Peasants Extending Assistance to Support one Another’s Noteworthy Thrusts for Self-reliance (PEASANTS) project.

Sumya-ann Women’s Association, Inc
Sumya-ann was organized on January 28, 2004 by 30  housewives and farmers in Sagada, Mt. Province. On July 12, 2004, it was registered at the Department of Labor and Employment and accredited by the Local Government Unit of Sagada Mt. Province on September 27, 2004. 

Sumya-ann is Heifer Philippines' partner NGO for the Sharing Agri-livestock Resources and Enterprise Development (ShARED) project.

Jaime V. Ongpin Foundation, Inc (JVOFI)
JVOFI was established on December 17, 1980 as a corporate social arm of the Benguet Corporation. By the late 1980s it expanded and implemented programs in marginal communities of Central Luzon, Ilocos, La Union, Davao, and other parts of Mindanao.

Heifer Philippines is working in partnership with JVOFI for the project Integrating Livestock Production, Environment Protection, and Enterprise Development for Poverty Reduction (InLives).

Assisi Development Foundation, Inc (ADFI)
ADFI is a nonprofit organization established in1975. Its primary mission is to assist the poor develop their full human potential through partnership programs that promote justice and peace. ADFI’s programs and projects have been conceived as prototypes and operated as working models of innovative development.

ADFI is HPI’s partner for the Bio-Intensive Gardening for the Urban Poor (BIG-UP) Project in Metro Manila.

Sentro ng Manggagawang Pilipina, Inc (SENTRO)
SENTRO is an NGO that works for the upliftment women, laborers, migrants, and other marginalized groups. It was established and registered at the SEC in 1994. 

SENTRO is HPI’s partner for the Multi-Agricultural Peri-Urban Livelihood Program (MAPULP).

Social Action and Development Commission of Ifugao (SADC)
SADC is the development arm of the Catholic Vicariate of Bontoc-Lagawe. Its main office is located in Bontoc, Mt. Province and implements integral development projects in Ifugao and Mt. Province.

SADC is HPI’s partner for CARE-LIFE project.

Episcopal Diocese of Northern Luzon (EDNL)
The Episcopal Diocese of Northern Luzon is a constituent diocese of the Episcopal Church in the Philippines. Along with its evangelistic work, the Diocese undertakes a Development Program to respond to the social needs and issues affecting the people within its jurisdiction to manifest the love of Christ that it preaches to people.

EDNL is HPI’s partner organization for Revitalizing Babalag Unity for Integrated Livelihood and Development (ReBUILD).

Episcopal Diocese of Santiago (EDS)
The Episcopal Diocese of Santiago is a constituent diocese of the Episcopal Church in the Philippines. It is based in Santiago City and was registered at the Securities and Exchange Commission on November 2000. It implements community development projects in Isabela and parts of Bontoc, Mt. Province.

EDS is HPI’s partner NGO for Empowered Abra for Sustainable Economy (EASE) Project.

Community One Resources Development, Inc (CORD)
CORD is an NGO that implements community development projects in Roxas, Mallig, and other communities in Isabela. It was organized in the early 70’s by a missionary of the Community of Christ Church. It started with its programs focusing on church members but later on expanded its development thrusts to include other communities regardless of religious affiliation.

CORD is HPI’s partner NGO for Sustainable Environment for Better Living of Families thru Holistic and Encompassing Livelihood Programs (SELF-HELP) Project.

Cordillera Parents Federation, Inc (CPFI)
CPFI is an nonprofit organization that implements development projects in Ifugao, Mt. Province and Baguio City. CPFI is comprised of six Parents Associations that were formerly Project Affiliates of Christian Children’s Fund (CCF) in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR). Presently, CPFI works to build self-reliant communities that are committed to alleviate poverty.

CPFI is HPI’s partner organization for the Happier FAMILY Project.

Bicol Upland Resources
Development Foundation, Inc (BURDFI)

BURDFI is a community-based nonprofit that works for social equity, sustainable resource management, and poverty reduction in rural areas.  BURDFI is a Likas-Yaman Awardee of the national government of the Philippines.

BURDFI is HPI's partner NGO for the Values Sharing through Agri-livestock for Families’ Sustainable Livelihood (V-Share) project.

Socio Pastoral Action Center Foundation, Inc (SPACFI)
SPACFI is a Church-based NGO that serves as the social arm of the Diocese of Daet.  SPACFI envisions integral human development for all which shall begin from a renewed awareness of the prevailing social, political, economic, cultural, and ecological situations.

SPACFI is HPI's partner NGO for the Family-Based Integrated Community Development Project (FamBaSICDev) project.

Mayon Integrated Development Alternatives and Services (MIDAS), Inc
MIDAS is an SEC-registered NGO that was founded by Bicolanos on September 27, 1991.  It works to facilitate genuine social change and human development through education, advocacy for local governance, strengthening of people’s organizations, and promoting sustainable agricultural technologies for food sufficiency, and initiating rural-based industries.

MIDAS is Heifer Philippine's partner NGO for the Comprehensive Assistance on Rehabilitation and Enterprise Development in Camalig (CAREDEV-Camalig) project.

Silliman University Extension Program (SUEP) – Marina Clinic
SUEP is the outreach arm of the Silliman University. It implements diversified extension programs that aim to help uplift the quality of life in the rural areas of Negros Oriental and neighboring provinces. One of the components the program is the Marina Health Clinic which was establised in in 1972.

SUEP-Marina Clinic is Heifer Philippines NGO partner for the Alternative Lifestyle for Women in Negros (ALL for WIN) project.

Rural Development Institute - Leyte (RDI-Leyte)
RDI-Leyte is an NGO registered at the SEC in 1996. It is a member of Philippine Network of Rural Development Institutes (PHILNET-RDI), and has implemented community-based development projects funded by New Zealand Aid, Christian Aid, European Union, and collaborated with the local Departments of Health and Agrarian Reform.

Heifer Philippines is working in partnership with RDI-Leyte for the Integrated Household Based Sharing and Caring of Livestock in the Upland towards Nutrition and Income Security (SCALE UP) project.

Participatory Research, Organization of Communities, and Education towards Struggle for Self-reliance (PROCESS) – Bohol, Inc
PROCESS is an NGO based in Tagbilaran City, Bohol. It traces its origins from the SARILAKAS project in 1981 which worked to help migrant sugar workers in Antique and Batangas. Presently, PROCESS - Bohol works to empower the poor towards effective and sustainable management of resources and promote a just and gender sensitive environment.

PROCESS – Bohol is Heifer Philippines' partner NGO for the Sharing and Caring for Others in Watershed (SCOW) project.

Panaghugpong sa Gagmayng Bayanihang Grupo sa Oriental (PAGBAG-O)
PAGBAG-O is a federation of 16 farmers, fishers, and women organizations in Negros Oriental. It focuses its efforts in empowering its member organizations; helping agrarian reform beneficiaries secure land tenure; and building micro-enterprises for poor farmers, women, and youth groups.

PAGBAG-O is HPI’s partner organization for the project People’s Alternative to Transformation and Holistic Development (PATH).

Bohol Concerned Citizen’s Action for Progress, (BCCAP) Inc

BCCAP is an NGO of composed of organized communities assisted by World Vision Development Foundation since 1993. Its principal office is located in Tagbilaran City and implements projects in Loboc, Sevilla, Sikatuna and Tagbilaran City in Bohol Province

BCCAP is HPI’s partner for the Families for Economic and Livestock Development (FIELD) project.

Community Awareness and Services for Ecological Concern, Inc (CASEC)
CASEC is an NGO that works to enhance consciousness about the ecological conditions in the country. CASEC is committed in preserving the environment and working for justice.

Heifer Philippines is working in partnership with CASEC for the Enterprise and Livestock Integrating to Family and Ecology (E-LIFE) project.

Tuburan for Rural Women Empowerment
and Development, Inc

Tuburan is an NGO committed to advance the role of women in rural development. Its main office is in Dumaguete City and implements projects in Negros Oriental.

Tuburan is HPI's partner NGO for the Women in Partnership Endeavor On Ultimate Transformation of Families to Eliminate Poverty project.

St. Ma. Goretti Development Education Foundation, Inc

St. Ma. Goretti Foundation, Inc is a nonprofit founded on January 26, 1998. It  provides the following programs and services: training and consultancy Services; scholarship program; children and youth Formation; elimination of child labor, environment protection and rehabilitation; gender and development; and advocacy.  

St. Ma. Goretti Foundation, Inc is HPI's partner NGO for the Strengthening of Families Towards Value-based Holistic Development Project.

Mindanao NGO Partners

Technology Outreach and Community Help Foundation, Inc (TOUCH)
TOUCH Foundation was organized on August 25, 1986 by a group of 13 volunteers to help the new administration rebuild the country after EDSA Revolution. It was registered at the SEC on September 25, 1986 and has been operating in Northwestern Mindanao for 20 years, adhering to the principles of sustainable development.

TOUCH is Heifer Philippines’ partner organization for the project Strengthening Economic and Ecological Development (SEED).

Rural Enterprise Assistance Center Foundation, Inc (REACH)
REACH Foundation is an NGO working in Surigao del Norte and Agusan del Norte. It was organized and registered at the SEC in 1986. Its founding members were former employees of the Farm System Development Corporation, a government agency that began institutional development works for farmers in 1978. 

REACH is Heifer Philippines’ partner organization for the Sustainable Livelihood and Enterprise Development (SLED) project.

Surigao del Norte NGO Coalition for Development, Inc (SUNGCOD)
SUNGCOD is an alliance of 10 NGOs working in Surigao del Norte. It was registered at the SEC on July 25, 2001. It is governed by a Board of Trustees, comprised of representatives of the member NGOs, and its program are implemented through its Executive Director and administrative and project staff.

SUNGCOD is Heifer Philippines’ partner organization for the project Integrated Community Response for Agriculture and Health Systems Enhancement (INCREASE) in the Payapag Mamanwa Settlement.

Group of Advocates for Sustainable Agriculture (GASA), Inc
GASA is an NGO implementing sustainable agriculture projects in Surigao del Sur. It was registered at the SEC on December 29, 2004. GASA emerged from Tago Center for Sustainable Agriculture, Inc which has helped rice farmers in Tago, Surigao del Sur since1996.

GASA is Heifer Philippines' partner NGO for the Improving Productivity through Animal-based Sustainable Agriculture (IPASA) project.

Surigao Sur Organization for Human Development (SSOFHDEV), Inc
SSOFHDEV is a private voluntary organization established and registered at SEC in 1988.  It was connected to St. Theresa College Community Outreach Programs and Services. Eventually it separated itself as it developed and gave broader services.

SSOFHDEV is Heifer Philippines' partner NGO for the Enhancing Community Assets through Agricultural Productivity and Rural Enterprise (E-CARE) project.

ALTERDEV Services Foundation, Inc
ALTERDEV is an NGO based in Butuan City.  It was organized in 1993 and registered at the SEC in 1994. Its vision is to facilitate opportunities for socioeconomic development and empowerment for upland and lowland rural communities in the CARAGA Region through organizing, capability-building, advocacy, and institutional development services in sustainable agriculture, enterprise development, marketing, and micro-finance.

ALTERDEV is Heifer Philippines' partner NGO for the Upland Diversified Farming Enhancement (UpLIFE) project.

Luntiaw Mindanaw, Inc
Luntiaw Mindanaw Inc is an NGO based in Bukidnon. It was registered at the SEC in March 2003 and accredited by the Philippine Council for NGO Certification. Luntiaw’s mission is to empower marginalized women, families, and communities by improving their access and control of resources for socioeconomic development.

Luntiaw is Heifer Philippines' partner NGO for the Developing Resources for Economic Advancement and Sustainable Management (DREAM) project.

PROPEGEMUS Foundation, Inc (PFI)
PFI is an NGO that implements development projects   Caraga Region. It was organized on June 13, 1994 and registered with the Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) on January 17, 1995. It works to protect the environment and alleviate poverty by empowering of grassroots communities.

PFI is Heifer Philippines' NGO partner for the Together Responding for Environmental and Economic Sustainability (TREES) project.

Holistic Community Development and Initiatives, Inc (HCDI)
HCDI,  formerly the Medical Ambassadors in South East Asia, Inc  (MASEA), is a nonprofit established in 1988 and registered at the SEC on March 9, 1993. Its services initially included community health education programs which later on expanded to sustainable socio-economic and community-based development.

HCDI is Heifer Philippines' partner NGO for the Transforming Lives for Holistic Community Development (TransLives-CHD) project.

Surigao Economic Development Foundation, Inc (SEDF)
SEDF is an NGO based in Surigao that was formed as the private sector’s response to the rehabilitation wrought about by the super typhoon Nitang in 1984. Its initial programs focused on distribution of vegetable seeds, construction of school buildings, water buffalo dispersals, and community organizing. In 2004, SEDF consolidated its services into sustainable development and grameen-based microfinance.

SEDF is HPI's partner NGO for the Sustainable Holistic and Integrated Project for Family Transformation in Mayag (SHIFT-Mayag) project.
