Heifer's Participatory Self-review
and Planning Process (PSRP)

PSRP is a values-based review and planning method that assesses the progress of a project vis a vis its goals and priorities. It is designed to be conducted in communities and uses Heifer’s Cornerstones as bases for evaluating the accomplishments of the project, NGO partner, and self-help groups.

PSRP enables the active participation of self-help group members in project planning and monitoring, fosters accountability, and strengthens project/community groups. It identifies project areas that needs more support, highlights the achievements of self-help groups and project partners, and enables proactive planning. Below is a diagram of how PSRP is being conducted by Heifer Philippines, starting from partnership development with local NGO/project partners.
