Heifer's Triadic Partnership Model

The model represents the relationship among Heifer Philippines, its NGO/project partners, and self-help groups. It illustrates the continuous exchange of information, support, knowledge, and resources between Heifer Philippines, its NGO partners, and the self-help groups.

The goal of the partnership is to successfully implement a project through strong and trusted NGO partners with the guidance of Heifer Philippines. First, Heifer Philippines develops a partnership with local NGOs/agencies and passes on the knowledge about Heifer International, including the Cornerstones and values-based holistic community development approach. Once the capacity of the local project partners has been strengthened, they begin to extend their project resources and knowledge to self-help groups. The same knowledge and resources are thus passed from local project partners to self-help groups.

The relationship between Heifer Philippines, project partners, and self-help groups is based on support and quality assurance. More importantly, it is continuously strengthened by co-learning, co-monitoring, and co-evaluation.
